Myotherapy: Myotherapy is the evidence based assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain and associated conditions. Myotherapy incorporates a range of techniques such as soft tissue massage, dry needling, cupping, joint mobilisations, exercise prescription, breathwork and meditation to treat acute or chronic pain conditions. s.
Clinical Pilates: Semi-private and private clinical pilates classes. Clinical Pilates is a method of exercise designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body by lengthening and firming muscles, therefore assisting the body during day-to-day activities. The focus is based on posture, core stability, balance, control, strength, flexibility, and breathing. It can be used in conjunction with myotherapy as a means of treating a variety of injuries (back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle pain). A range if specialised equipment is used to facilitate each patients specific pilates program. The clinical pilates studio is located in a bush setting within St Andrews.
Remedial Massage: Remedial massage is the systematic assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management. It’s performed to create favourable conditions for the body to return to normal health after injury. Remedial massage is designed to balance muscle/soft tissue length, tension, tone which will in turn promote the return to normal joint/capsular/bone position; increase the flow of blood and lymph, particularly in the injured areas, thus removing blockages, damaged cells, scar tissue and adhesions resulting from injury.
Mat Pilates: Group Pilates class aimed at increasing mobility, strength, flexibility, coordination and balance. All abilities welcome.
Yoga: Group and private yoga classes for all abilities. Increase strength, stamina, flexibility and mobility. Meditation and breath work (Pranayama) are an essential element included in each class.
Guided meditation & sound bath: Based on the practice of yoga nidra or yogic sleep, participants are guided into a seep state of conscious awareness. Live music sound bath accompanies the journey to provide a shift in frequencies into a state of deep relaxation and healing.
